This section presents a summary of over 40 years of photographing the British landscape. Most of the work derives from a long term familiarity with the location and some locations have been regularly studied for over 30 years. While, like any photographer, I may respond to an immediate impression of a new location, my usual way of working is to regularly visit a site over an extended period to see it in all lights and weathers, as well as to study the changes that take place over time.
